Why Bother Exactly?

Why Bother Exactly?

Most people aren’t aware of their carbon footprint. And up until recently I was one of them, so I am hardly one to preach! But, despite what many might think, it is actually quite easy to work out. You can do so by visiting a number of different websites and inputting your information (honestly, come on now), and this is something that is discussed over at Enigin Advice.

Now, I know that some of you may be thinking Why should I bother? The world will still keep going round if I don’t, so what’s the point? And the simple answer is yes, the world will still keep going round if you don’t bother, and yes, you are but one person and, finally, yes, you can’t exactly do a lot to save the planet on your own. But look at it like this: if we all thought that then nothing would change. Even the nightmarish carbon emitters that are China and the U.S. are made up of lots of individuals deciding to do or not do something, when it comes down to it. So, in fact, the power of the individual is great. By word of mouth and telling others to check their carbon footprint we can all see where we can make savings, and that has to be a good thing, right?

If you’re not convinced then look at it from this perspective: wasting energy is also wasting money. And you wouldn’t want to do that now, would you?

No, I thought not. Now get to it!
