When I think about sci-fi and fantasy films and television (which I do quite regularly), it is normally the older titles that come to mind.
As far as I am concerned, the use of cgi’s is pretty unimportant. The best science fiction needs only imagination. Computer graphics are over-rated and often obscure the story itself. Really imaginative programmes or films are not reliant on special effects and billion-dollar budgets. A good example would be Dr Who.
