Scavenger Live Role Playing Event in Londin
So I found out about a whole bunch of events where people go to dressed as different things - including girls dressed as elves! Seriously. I was talking to a friend of mine who does something called live action role play. He is going to something called Scavenger LRP where they all run around pretending the world has ended or some such thing, however the thing that I didn’t know is that people will go dressed up as elves!
It sounds amazing doesn’t it? Pointy ears, long tied back hair of various colours, swords! Anyway, I think I might have to go along and check one of these things out at some point. It sounds really good. I’m not sure that I fully understand it properly. There is some kind of system of playing a game in place where you can fight and trade and “win” somehow. The interesting thing to me though is the camp fires, the songs, the people playing harps (I know I didn’t know people still did that) and of course the girls dressed as Elves.
I need to confirm that it is all true, and I can’t or won’t go alone, but I think I will check it out. I’ll let you know how it all works out in the end.
